There are thousands of coaches. Some do personal and life coaching. We don’t. We focus ONLY on executive coaching. It is specifically for leaders of organizations and teams where your development is always linked to your objectives, and to those of the business.

At Executive Focus, our coaching is based on a one-to-one, face-to-face approach to build and leverage trust and to maximize the development process. We act not only as a coach, but often as a consultant, sounding board, confidential advisor, personal skills trainer, and as someone to hold up the mirror. We hold you accountable, keep you honest, and keep you focused on your goals. We help you keep things in perspective, help you maintain focus, so you can provide the direction and motivation for your team.

A lot of coaching is typically about asking questions. When appropriate, we not only draw you out but also teach, give advice, or push back. We demonstrate support, help you practice a new behavior, tell a story to illustrate a point, or challenge your assumption or plan. We help clients think through a key decision or approach that can make or break a career. We help you craft your talking points, allow you to practice in safety, so you say the important message when and how it needs to be said. It is this multi-faceted approach that our clients cite as most useful to their results.

How Are We Different Than Others?

It’s personal. It’s the same reason you buy products and services from people you like and trust. It’s the relationship.

Many professional Executive Coaches have:

research-based personality and leadership assessments
a proven coaching methodology
many satisfied clients and companies
a track record of proven results
advanced degrees in human behavior
senior executive experience
had P&L accountability for an entire organization
experience as a trained counselor, and
competency within their area of expertise

We do as well, but that’s not what our clients’ value most or what makes us unique.

We focus first and foremost on building the relationship between the Coach and the Executive; building the trust, and seeing if we can work together. If we do not develop trust, you can not be honest, then we can not do real work together. Almost always we click and go forward, quickly. Occasionally we’re not the right person for you and we’ll tell you. You’ll know.

We also have a genuine drive and talent for developing leaders. We help bring out the best of you. That way, you develop into the leader you want to be instead of being a cookie cutter copy of someone else’s idea of a leader.

Our expertise is in improving executive communication, presence, influence, relationships, and delegation with both senior Executives and middle management. We help Executives effectively deal with performance management, hiring, succession planning, and relationships; up, down, across, and outside the organization. Our work encompasses most major industries and functional areas within Fortune 500 companies.

Because of our strong business background and focus, we specialize in executive development linked to the executive’s agenda. Linking any development to the role and goals provides a framework within which the development has a business reason – and aligns individual with corporate success.
